Our Journey to Margaritaville
Tan-Tar-A Resort will transition to a Margaritaville Resort in the spring of 2019.
Follow our progress as a relaxing, laid-back, easy-breezy style is incorporated, while retaining all of the charm of Tan-Tar-A.
As Tan-Tar-A Resort prepares to change it's name to Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake of the Ozarks on May 1st and become the ultimate lake destination, renovations continue at the Resort. Revamping of the lobby and Mr D's Lobby bar began in early February, 2019. Expecting to finish in mid-March, new tile flooring will replace the carpet and Mr D's Lobby bar will transform into License to Chill Bar & Grill bringing a relaxing and casual lake vibe to every guest's check-in experience.
Coming Spring 2019!
There is a boatload of reasons to love Landshark Bar & Grill, like street tacos, wings, crispy fried shrimp, crisp salads and your favorite brews and boat drinks. Wha more could you want when you are chilling at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Let the fin begin!
"Margaritaville's relaxing, laid-back vibe fits in perfectly here at Lake of the Ozarks and complements the unique charm of Osage Beach," said Fred Dehner, the resort's general manager. "We look forward to introducing the brand's distinctive sense of fun and escapism to guests from around the world."
Guestrooms on the Resort Complex have been updated to feature elements of Margaritaville's signature ‘casual-luxe' design, such as sky-blue walls, offset by warm wood elements with bright accents. The exterior of all buildings at the Resort Complex are now a shade of warm sand, accented with white trim, to reflect the lake's peaceful shoreline. Guests also will find enhanced activities and facilities, including a fresh new fleet of gray golf carts for The Oaks golf course and the renaming of Arrowhead Pool and Bear's Den Arcade - now Lakeside Pool and Fin City Arcade, respectively.
Several signature Margaritaville food and beverage concepts have been introduced at the property and are now open, including:
Final touches will be completed early next year, including updates to the lobby, marina, water park, bowling alley and more.
The former property, Tan-Tar-A Resort, was acquired in 2017 by Driftwood Acquisitions & Development (DAD) - a privately held investment firm specializing in the acquisition and development of hotel assets - with JV partner Sefira Capital, a Miami-based investment boutique platform that focuses on acquiring and developing commercial real estate. DAD is assisting with the transition.

Demolition of outlying buildings in Complex F began in Early December to make way for LandShark Bar & Grill. Design plans for the indoor/outdoor restaurant and bar located on the water's edge are still in the works with a Summer 2018 Grand Opening expected.
