Q : Does Tan-Tar A offer beach access with swimming?
A: No, for safety purposes, we do not allow swimming in the lake off of the shores of our resort. Our resort is located on the main channel of Lake of the Ozarks and boat traffic can make swimming dangerous. There are several public swim beaches located at the Lake of the Ozarks State Park that are nearby.
Q : What time is check-in and check-out?
A: Check-in begins at 4:00PM. Should you arrive early, you can pre-register and begin to enjoy the amenities at Tan-Tar-A Resort ahead of time.  

Check-out is at 11:00AM. Once you check­out, you can continue to enjoy our activities and attractions for the remainder of the day. Requests for late check-outs are accepted, but not guaranteed depending on hotel occupancy.
Q : Does Tan-Tar A have a resort fee?
A: Yes, our daily resort fee of $10.55 (tax inclusive) includes:
  • Unlimited in-room access to High-Speed Internet Service
  • Use of Business Center located in the Main Lobby
  • Coffee service in guest room
  • Refrigerator in guest room
  • Local and "1-800" telephone calls
  • Incoming guest faxes
  • Shuttle service throughout the resort and estates complexes
  • Shuttle service to and from the Oaks and Hidden Lakes Golf Courses
  • Use of Fin's Up Indoor Pool & Fitness Center
  • Use of outdoor Tennis Courts
  • Use of boat launch and boat trailer parking
Q : Does Tan-Tar A include admission to Jolly Mon Indoor Water Park?
A: No, admission to Jolly Mon Indoor Water Park is not included in our room rates. Admission to the park is:
  • $17.00 per person per day for hotel guests
  • $22.00 per person per day for non-hotel guests
  • $5.00 per person per day for admission for observers
  • Ages 2 and under are free
Q : What’s the closest airport to Tan-Tar A Estates?
A: The nearest major airport is Lambert-St Louis International located in St Louis, MO. It is approximately 2 1/2 hours from the resort. Kansas City International Airport, located in Kansas City, MO, is approximately 3 hours from the Resort. Smaller airports near us include:
  • Springfield-Branson National Airport, located in Springfield, MO, approximately 2 hours away
  • Columbia Regional Airport, located in Columbia, MO, approximately 1 1/2 hours away
Q : Is Tan-Tar A pet-friendly?
A: We do allow licensed/certified service animals however pets are not allowed at the resort. Lake Animal Hospital in Linn Creek (573-346-5733) is located nearby for guests who need to board their pet.
Q : Does Tan-Tar A Estates have an airport shuttle?
A: Yes, we provide complimentary transportation to and from the airports in the Lake of the Ozarks Area. There are two airports in the area - Lee C Fine Airport and the Grand Glaize Osage Beach Airport. The Grand Glaize Airport is the closest to Tan-Tar-A.
Q : Does Tan-Tar A have safety deposit boxes?
A: Yes, safety-deposit boxes are available at the front desk. Please see the front desk staff when you check-in if you require use of a safety deposit box.

A: Missouri's most popular lake destination features more than 1,100 miles of shoreline – that's more shoreline than the coast of California. The Lake of the Ozarks offers access to public beaches; great fishing; and plenty of room for fun and recreation on the water.

Q : Can you swim in Lake of the Ozarks?
A: Cooling off in the lake is a great way to spend a hot summer day! Swimming is not permitted off of the shores of the resort due to our location. You can rent pontoon boats from our marina to spend the day in the lake. The  Lake of the Ozarks State Park is near by as well if you would prefer to visit their public beaches.
Q : Does the resort allow pets?

Q : What mile marker is Tan-Tar-A Estates located on?
A: Tan-Tar-A Estates and all the activities located at Margaritaville Lake Resort are located on mile marker 26 on the Lake of the Ozarks.
Q : Is admission to Jolly Mon Indoor Water Park included with overnight stays?

Jolly Mon Indoor Water Park is not included in our room rates.

Q : Do you provide airport transportation?
A:

We provide complimentary transportation to and from the airports in the Lake of the Ozarks Area. There are 2 airports in the area - Lee C Fine Airport and the Grand Glaize Osage Beach Airport. The Grand Glaize Airport is the closest to Tan-Tar-A.
Q : Do you allow Recreational Vehicles (RVs) on property?
A: RVs are not permitted on the main property of Tan-Tar-A due to our narrow roadways. Please park your RV at the Oaks Golf Course parking lot which is located on State Rd KK about 2 miles from the entrance to Tan-Tar-A Resort. We do provide complimentary shuttle service to and from the Oaks parking lot.
Q : Is smoking permitted within the Resort or Guest Rooms?
A: Most areas of the resort are smoke-fee, including all of our guest rooms, all public corridors, all food and beverage outlets, and all recreational facilities. Designated outdoor smoking areas are located throughout the resort.
Q : What age do you have to be to check in to the Resort?
A: Guests 18 years of age and younger must have a parental consent form signed by the parents of the person responsible for the room.  All people in the room must also sign a no party policy and show a valid form if ID.

Guests  19 to 20 years old must sign a no party policy but do not need parental approval. Everyone in the room must show a valid ID.

All room, tax and resort fees will be collected prior to check in as well as a $100 damage deposit.

Drinking by persons under the age of 21 will be evicted and the Sheriff's Department will be contacted as well as the parents of the minor(s).
