Fighting the Invasion
Roadside ditches, stream banks and even portions of the park’s natural areas are under attack from invasive species. Join us to identify the invasive species, where they are at, what park staff are doing to protect the resources, and what you can do to help. We will meet at the visitor center.
Following the program is an optional volunteer activity focused on removing invasive species. If you plan on attending the volunteer activity, be sure to wear sturdy hiking shoes/boots, sunscreen and bug spray and pack water.
To get to the visitor center from Highway 54, turn onto State Road D and continue approximately 1.3 miles. The visitor center will be on your left.Event time: 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
