Enchanted Village of Lights Drive-Thru Park
November 16, 2013 - January 1, 2014
The Enchanted Village of Lights Drive-Thru Park will be held at the Laurie Hillbilly Fairgrounds. Guests are invited to drive-thru more than 200 displays as part of this annual tradition at the 27-acre, Laurie Hillbilly Fairgrounds. The park is open from 5 to 9 p.m. each night through Jan. 1. Shrine of St. Patrick's Festival of Lights

The Festival of Lights at the Shrine of St. Patrick is the oldest light park in the area. It was started in 1981 with hundreds of lights decorating the buildings and grounds and has continued to grow each year. With 4,000 strings of lights, over 60automatic timers and more than 350 extension cords, the Festival of Lights has turned into one of the major places to see. Instead of animated displays, the focus is on the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus and His Mother, Mary. The Festival of Lights will be open daily from 6–10 p.m. from Thanksgiving through Jan. 1. Deck the Docks

Dock Realty is excited to announce the third annual lake lighting event called “Deck the Docks” to benefit the Dogwood Animal Shelter. Dogwood Animal Shelter is a non-profit, no-kill refuge for the homeless domesticated animals in the Lake of the Ozarks area. Their facility houses 200 of our furry friends that are waiting for that loving family to adopt them. Gather your family and friends to join Dock Realty on one of the Friday or Saturday night scenic cruises aboard the Celebration Cruise ship departing from the west end of the Grand Glaize Bridge in Osage Beach. The cruises begin on Nov. 29 and run every Friday and Saturday evening until December 28. The cruise is 2 hours long and we will be viewing the lighted docks between the 13 and 21 miles markers. Unity Circle of Lights at Versailles City Park

The City of Versailles will light up its City Park for the Unity Circle of Lights through Dec. 31. The holiday light park is named after the "Unity Circle," a monument erected at the park entrance to show cooperation among various entities in the community. The Unity Circle of Lights is located at the junction of Highways 5 and 52 and will feature as many as 40 lighted displays, including several animated holiday scenes for the family. Christmas on the Square

Christmas on the Square in Camdenton is held on the Camden County Courthouse lawn from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Admission is free, however, bring canned goods for special drawings. Breakfast with Santa

The sixth annual Relay for Life Breakfast With Santa will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 in the Northwinds Room at Tan-Tar-A. Cost is $5 per person with children under 1 free. Included is breakfast, a visit with Santa and a variety of other activities. Pictures with Santa will be an additional $5. Some of the Christmas activities are decorating cookies, making crafts, designing cards, writing a letter to Santa and mailing it, Christmas coloring pages, etc. We also offer a Christmas silent action with items for the whole family. Also planned are live Christmas music and the LOZ Community Dance Project. People attending are asked to bring an unwrapped book or toy, which will be collected and donated to the Lake Area Christmas for Kids later in the evening. The Yellow Rose Relay for Life Team is sponsoring the Breakfast With Santa. All money raised at the breakfast will go to the American Cancer Society. 29th Annual Christmas Parade

Celebrate the Christmas season with the 29th Annual Christmas Parade featuring a variety of floats and Santa Claus riding Lake-style in his boat led by reindeer. In addition, children can visit with Santa at “The White House” building located on Bagnell Dam Strip. Parade line-up is along Route 242 and travels down the Bagnell Dam Strip. Adults looking to relax will enjoy floating down the lazy river or soaking in the hot tub at Tan-Tar-Resort's Timber Falls Indoor Waterpark. Young children will have fun exploring a three-story treehouse with a 700 gallon tipping bucket and sliding down four waterslides encompassing 600 feet of slides. Lake of the Ozarks Eagle Days

Get out your coats, hats and gloves for one of the most popular winter events at the Lake of the Ozarks. Highlights of the program include live eagles from the world Bird Sanctuary with naturalists on hand to answer questions at Osage National Golf Resort. The programs will begin on the hour each day of the event. The Astronomy Club will be available at Willmore Lodge for eagle viewing. Eagle watch cruises (weather permitting) will be offered by the Paddlewheeler Tom Sawyer on Saturday and Sunday for $5 per person. Visitors are urged to bring binoculars and cameras for optimal viewing and photo opportunities of wild eagles at Willmore Lodge and below the Bagnell Dam on the Osage River. This event is free (except for small charge for the boat cruise) and open to the public. The event will be from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Mardi-Gras Pub Crawl

Over 20 restaurants and bars participate in the Mardi-Gras Pub Crawl event. A wristband, which can be purchased for $7, is required to get you in to all locations as well as access to shuttle buses. “Crawlers” can purchase wristbands at the first stop or first shuttle ride. 19th Annual Polar Plunge

Brave men and women from around the area will wear costumes and swimwear and take "polar" dips into the Lake of the Ozarks for the 19th Annual Polar Plunge and Super Plunge event. A 5K Fun Run Run called the Polar Bear Strut will be held as well. All proceeds from the event benefit the Special Olympics of Missouri. The 5k Strut starts at Osage Beach City Hall and the plunge will be held at Lake of the Ozarks State Park Public Beach no. 2in Osage Beach. 30th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Sponsored by the Bagnell Dam Strip Association, the 30th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The parade will begin on Bagnell Dam Blvd.and travel down the Bagnell Dam Strip. The 100-plus entry parade includes floats,cars, marching groups, numerous area pageant winners, horse groups,motorcycles, fire, police, boats and other qualified modes of transportation and local businesses tossing beads and candy to spectators.

Decorate your boat for the 23rd Annual St. Patrick's Water Parade. Parade will start at Ozark Bar-B-Que, which is located onTT-75 by land or the 10.5 mm by water, and travel down the Gravois Arm. A breakfast buffet will be available at 9 a.m. The captains meet at 10 a.m. for instructions and the parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. The Tropic Island Cruise Boat is available for those who just want to cruise the day relaxing on the water. The Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association sponsors the annual Spring In-the-Water Boat Show that showcases new boats and personal watercrafts from participating marinas and marine dealers on the Lake.
