Home to the Lake Area Chamber of Commerece, the historic log building houses a large exhibit dedicated to the history of the Bagnell Dam Project.

Main Street Music Hall
This Ozarks tradition goes back over 40 years, with family-friendly performances at the Main Street Music Hall.

Lake Area Caves
Missouri is truly the Cave State, with over 5,380 registered and mapped wild caves, 300 of which are in the Lake of the Ozarks area. Show Caves are wild caves that have been "tamed" with paved walkways, bridges, handrails and lights. The Lake Area features 4 Show Caves:

Helicopter Rides
Lake Ozark Helicopters provides scenic flights of some of the most recognizable Lake attractions. See Ha Ha Tonka or Bagnell Dam from the air. Visit their website for more information.

Airplane Rides
Air Lake Aviation gives customres the option of a 30-minue scenic tour of the Lake for $50 per person. This scenic flight soars over Bagnell Dam to Ha Ha Tonka State Park and covers every sight in between. Visit their website for more information.

State Parks
Our area features one of the newest state parks in Missouri (Ha Ha Tonka), and is also the home of the largest state park in Missouri (Lake of the Ozarks State Park).

  • Ha Ha Tonka is a 2,500-acre park offering an array of wildlife and "Karst" topography, characterized by sink holes, caves, underground streams and natural bridges. In addition to ruins of a stone castle, there are walking trails and the 12th largest spring in the state.

  • Lake of the Ozarks State Park offers 17,000 acres of wilderness playgrounds, 89 miles of shoreline, two beaches, a boat launch and an "Aquatic Trail.”

Wineries
The Lake of the Ozarks area in Central Missouri has four local wineries: Casa de Loco Winery, Grey Bear Winery and Vineyard and Seven Springs Winery. Each has its own unique sights, sounds, smells and tastes to excite the senses and create lasting memories of a relaxing outing.

·    Casa de Loco Winery The estate, located on a bluff near Camdenton, features a beautiful 300-person Grand Hall, a large stone terrace and an overlook of the Niangua River. ·    Grey Bear Winery and Vineyard Located in Stover, Mo this winery is open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday from noon-4 p.m. On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday visits to Grey Bear are scheduled by appointment only. ·    Golden Rock Winery This new Camdenton winery plans to open in July, 2011. Located on North Business Route 5, they will have about 30 different types of wine, offer custom labeling, you can make you own vintage and eat at the full-service restaurant.

Family Fun for all Ages
 

·    Lazer Force  Shoot a lazer beam at players in a room filled with blacklight, fog, flashing lights and music. A scoreboard keeps track of who wins. One game takes about 20 minutes to play. It can hold up to groups of 24. Visit their website.

·    The Clayground  A paint-it-yourself pottery playground, it is a place where children and adults can express themselves through painting. Shipping is available. Call 573-434-1597 for more information

·    Funny Farm Petting Zoo  Interact with all types of barnyard animals and a few interesting ones too. Pigs, horses, goats, chickens, Imu, a large turtle and many other furry friends are found around the farm. Visit their website for more information.

·    Orion Dinospace Adventure Science Center  A unique combination of science center and theme park with serious exhibits for adults and fun activites for kids. It teaches science in a fun way by providing hands-on activities and education exhibits where you can learn about science and nature.
